Residents of Bubuieci commune will elect their mayor today

About eight thousand citizens with the right to vote from Bubuieci commune, Chisinau municipality, are expected today, February 11, at the polls to elect their mayor. According to the Central Electoral Commission, until 09:00, the right to vote was exercised by 112 voters or 1.28% of those registered in the basic electoral lists.

Four polling stations are open in the town. Voters who cannot go to the polling station can request a mobile ballot box at home until 2:00 p.m. Voting will end at 21:00.

At the same time, the CEC states that 7,957 ballot papers were printed for the Bubuieci commune, of which 7,298 were in Romanian and 659 in Russian. There are six electoral competitors on the ballot papers.

"The candidate for the position of mayor is considered elected if he received more than half of the validly cast votes of the voters who came to the polls." We remind you that the CEC annulled the results of the first-round elections, in which Leonid Umaneț won, after the Ministry of Education and Research announced that he would not hold a secondary education diploma of general culture.
