New Daycare Options Coming to Moldova

Individuals who participated in training workshops on providing alternative childcare services last year and submitted the best business plans have received funding.

This will support the launch of Moldova's first family-style daycare services.

The International Labor Organization provided three grants of $6,000 each. Street Child Moldova provided an additional six grants worth €3,000, IPN reports.

This action supports the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection in implementing the National Program for Alternative Child Care Services for children under 3 years of age. Currently, only 15% of children under 3 years of age are enrolled in public nursery services. The national program aims to increase this indicator to 30%.
