Deputy Marina Tauber is to be summoned to the Anticorruption Prosecutor's Office

Deputy Marina Tauber, who was deprived of immunity on Thursday, will be summoned to the Anticorruption Prosecutor's Office to be informed about the completion of the criminal investigation. Afterwards, the criminal case will be sent to court for examination on the merits, reads a press release from the Anticorruption Prosecutor's Office.

The MPs from the parliamentary majority approved last night the lifting of the immunity of MP Marina Tauber. Acting General Prosecutor Ion Munteanu declared that Marina Tauber is accused of interfering with the administration of justice.

More precisely, on April 12, 2023, she allegedly took advantage of her deputy status and intimidated and threatened the judges of the Chisinau Court of Appeal, while they were examining a criminal case involving the fugitive politician, Ilan Şor, convicted in the bank fraud file. Thus, using the megaphone, she threatened the panel of judges with the blocking of the trial, by invoking the fact that 3000 supporters were waiting outside who will further endanger the conduct of the court session,

Marina Tauber qualified the General Prosecutor's Office's request as political pressure, noting that such actions usually happen in an election year.
