Germany Stops Attack on Swedish Parliament
German authorities have arrested two men of Afghan origin who are alleged supporters of the terrorist group Islamic State. The suspects are accused of plotting a terrorist attack on the Swedish Parliament building.
According to the Federal Court of Justice, the plot was allegedly hatched in the summer of last year as a response to incidents of Quran burning in Sweden. The men were meticulously planning the attack and awaiting the acquisition of weapons when they were apprehended by German law enforcement.
