Moldova Receives Romanian Fuel After Long Delay

The first shipment of diesel fuel from Romania is scheduled to arrive in the Republic of Moldova this evening. The next shipment could be delivered in approximately 10 days.

Next week, a Romanian delegation is expected to visit Moldova. During this visit, laboratory tests will be conducted, and the fuel will be transferred to the Material Reserves Agency.

Importantly, farmers in Moldova have been waiting for diesel fuel from Romania for 16 months. Its distribution was one of the farmers' demands during recent protests.

Previously, authorities in Chisinau reported the delay in reaching Moldovan farmers was due to a lack of adequate storage capacity.
