This move represents the latest development underscoring America's unwavering commitment to Ukraine as Russia appears to be making territorial gains in the two-year conflict, according to Politico.

Non-Combat Advisors to Bolster Ukrainian Military Capabilities

The advisors would serve in a non-combat capacity, providing counsel and support to the Ukrainian government and military. This new contingent would specifically assist with logistical and oversight tasks for the weapons the United States is supplying to Ukraine. These tasks include ensuring the weapons are delivered efficiently and utilised effectively.

Uncertain Number of Additional Troops to Expand US Military Presence

While the specific number of personnel is not being disclosed for operational security reasons, a small number of US soldiers have already completed short rotations at the Kyiv embassy. The ultimate number of additional US troops to be sent to Ukraine remains undetermined, but estimates suggest it could be as high as 60. Regardless of the final troop count, their deployment would undoubtedly bolster the US military presence in Ukraine.

Military Expansion Aligns with Increased US Support

This expansion of the US military presence coincides with the House of Representatives' recent passage of a multi-billion-dollar military aid package for Ukraine. This action signifies a significant escalation in US support for Ukraine in the face of the ongoing conflict.
