The man who allegedly raped his five-year-old niece, sent to court
The General Prosecutor's Office has completed the criminal investigation and submitted to the court the criminal case against the 65-year-old man who allegedly raped his five-year-old niece.
According to the prosecutors, the case happened on January 31, 2024, in a town in the center of the country.
The accused is charged with rape, knowingly committed on a person who has not reached the age of 14, who is also a family member.
"During the criminal investigation, the accused was in preventive detention, including when the criminal case was sent to the court. He does not plead guilty", informs the General Prosecutor's Office.
If convicted, the man faces a maximum sentence of up to 20 years in prison or life imprisonment.
