Massive resignations at the Chisinau Court of Appeal. 20 magistrates submitted resignation requests. The information was confirmed for the "Teleradio-Moldova" Broadcaster by the interim president of the CSM, Sergiu Caraman. The resignation requests are to be examined by the CSM in the May 7 meeting. Most magistrates justify their desire to leave the system "for personal reasons".
We mention that on April 12, the Vetting Commission announced the start of the evaluation of the appeal courts with the 40 judges of the CA Chisinau.
The magistrates were notified that this process has started and that they are to complete and present, within 20 days, the Statement on property and personal interests for the last 5 years, as well as the Declaration form regarding the list of close persons in the judicial system, of prosecutor's office and public service.
