Moldova Cooling Down: Showers, Storms Forecast

Moldova braces for a cool down with scattered showers and thunderstorms.

The State Hydrometeorological Service (SHS) forecasts highs of 25 degrees Celsius (77 degrees Fahrenheit) and lows of 14 degrees Celsius (57 degrees Fahrenheit) for Thursday, June 13th.

Weather conditions will be influenced by an area of normal atmospheric pressure. Winds will be light to moderate, with occasional gusts. Scattered showers with lightning are expected across much of the country. Some thunderstorms may produce hail, particularly in isolated areas. Light rain is also possible overnight.

Regional variations in temperature are expected. Northern Moldova will see highs of 23 degrees Celsius (73 degrees Fahrenheit) dropping to 14 degrees Celsius (57 degrees Fahrenheit) overnight. Central regions can expect highs of 24 degrees Celsius (75 degrees Fahrenheit) falling to 15 degrees Celsius (59 degrees Fahrenheit) overnight. Southern Moldova will experience highs of 25 degrees Celsius (77 degrees Fahrenheit) with lows of 16 degrees Celsius (61 degrees Fahrenheit) overnight.

The SHS also forecasts unsettled weather for Friday, June 14th.
