Easier access to the electronic signature for citizens of the Republic of Moldova

Citizens from the districts will get electronic signatures without traveling to Chisinau. The Information Technology and Cyber Security Service and the Public Services Agency have announced that they are expanding the methods of obtaining electronic signature creation devices. A pilot project is launched at two multifunctional centers in Chisinau, and from today until August 28 it will be extended throughout the country.

At the initial stage, ASP's multifunctional Centers will serve only individuals. It will no longer be necessary to make copies of identity documents for presentation at the counter, but only the presentation of a valid identity document, the payment receipt and the completed public key certification application. Afterwards, the applicant will receive the electronic signature creation device, on which the key pair is written.

Electronic signatures created using this device have the same legal force as a holographic signature.
