NATO Denies Intentional Russian Attack Amid Drone Findings
NATO declared on Thursday that there is no indication that the remains of Russian drones found in Romania are evidence of an intentional attack on the territory of the transatlantic alliance, but that they indicate "irresponsible and potentially dangerous" actions, reports Reuters.
"Although NATO does not possess information indicating any intentional attack by Russia against allied territory, these acts are irresponsible and potentially dangerous," said a spokesperson in a statement.
The spokesperson added that NATO has increased its presence in the Black Sea region in recent days.
Remember: Remains from Russian Gheran drones have been detected near the locality of Plauru, in Tulcea county, in the area where Ro-Alert messages were issued as a result of Russian attacks targeting infrastructure on the Ukrainian bank of the Danube.
The Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has condemned Russia's "odious attacks."
