The Ministry of the Interior: Moldovan driving licences now valid in Turkey as well

Citizens of the Republic of Moldova living in Turkey can exchange their driving licences issued by the country's competent authorities, the Ministry of Interior (MAI) reports. This is made possible thanks to the Agreement signed between the governments of the two countries on the mutual conversion and recognition of driving licences, which came into force on 14 January 2023.

"The signing of agreements on the conversion of driving licences has positive effects for Moldovan citizens, allowing them to move freely in international traffic and to conclude advantageous employment contracts in the field of road transport," the MAI specifies.

In this context, the institution reiterates its commitment to make appropriate efforts to advance bilateral discussions on the subject of conversion of driving licences with European countries.
