Festival 'We See Each Other at Home' highlights Diaspora Days
Today marks the beginning of several events dedicated to Diaspora Days in Moldova. These events will bring together hundreds of compatriots who have returned home.
This year, several festivities for the diaspora are planned, as reported by Violina Donu, Head of the Office of Relations with the Diaspora, to Radio Moldova.
Diaspora Days will commence today, August 16, with the Summer Camp DOR.
"At the 'Dor' camp, we know that one hundred children have registered, with 80 from the diaspora and 20 from the country. Additionally, in the coming days, the Festival 'We See Each Other at Home' and the Youth Forum will be organised. If I were to sum up the number of participants who have shown interest in getting involved, it would likely reach one thousand people. I hope that all these people will attend the events," clarified Violina Donu.
On August 17, the Festival 'We See Each Other at Home' will take place, during which our compatriots will discuss the present and future of the Republic of Moldova.
The following day, the Diaspora Business Forum 2024 will be held, an event organised under the patronage of the Government and supported by UNDP Moldova. This forum aims to bring together the Moldovan diaspora, entrepreneurs, and professionals from home.
On August 18, at 18:00, Moldovans who have returned home are invited to the performance 'Leaves of Longing,' presented by the National Theater 'Mihai Eminescu.'
