Shocking attack in a school in Portugal: a 12-year-old boy stabbed six classmates and a teacher
A shocking incident happened at a school in Azambuja, Portugal, where a 12-year-old boy attacked six students and a teacher with a knife, writes Euronews. One of the victims, a 12-year-old girl, suffered serious chest and head injuries and was rushed to hospital. The attacker was detained and the Police opened an investigation to determine the motive behind this act of violence.
Portugal's president, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, strongly condemned the incident. He stated that violence cannot be justified under any circumstances and highlighted the importance of preventing such behavior among young people.
Prime Minister Luis Montenegro called the attack an "isolated act", stressing that it is a rare phenomenon in Portuguese society and that it requires a responsible approach from the authorities and the community.
