Three other cases of infection with the Kraken subvariant of COVID-19 were confirmed in the Republic of Moldova, the National Public Health Agency (ANSP) announces. In this context, health authorities reiterate the importance of vaccination against COVID-19, as the most effective way to avoid serious cases of illness and death.

ANSP specialists recommend that the population continue to respect the public health measures for the prevention and control of the COVID-19 infection by wearing protective masks in public and private medical and sanitary institutions, public transport, congested spaces; respecting social distance, hand hygiene and respiratory hygiene rules. At the same time, health specialists recommend contacting a doctor at the appearance of the first symptoms of the COVID-19 infection (fever, cough, difficulty breathing, sore throat, muscle pain).
