First ten Moldovans settled in the US voted
The first ten citizens of the Republic of Moldova settled in the United States have already voted by mail. The envelopes with the cast votes have been sent to the polling station at the US embassy and are yet to reach the Central Electoral Commission.
"We are waiting for the other over 900 envelopes", announces the Embassy of the Republic of Moldova in the USA. In this context, the diplomatic mission warns citizens not to send the return envelope for the second round of the presidential elections for now.
We remind you that the first citizens who chose to vote by mail are two Moldovan citizens settled in Canada.
We remind that in the elections for the position of President of the Republic of Moldova and the republican constitutional referendum set for October 20, 2024, voting by mail will be implemented for citizens of the Republic of Moldova located on the territory of the United States of America, Canada, the Kingdom of Norway, the Kingdom of Sweden, the Republic Finland and the Republic of Iceland. In this regard, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MAE) has launched a detailed guide that explains, step by step, how citizens can ensure that the vote will arrive safely and is validated.
