Andrei Spînu announces he steps down from the Government and PAS. Moldovan President Maia Sandu reacts
Andrei Spînu, the Minister of Infrastructure and Regional Development, has announced his retirement from both the Government of the Republic of Moldova and the Action and Solidarity Party (PAS). Despite facing a defamation campaign, Spînu emphasized his commitment to working tirelessly for the country's interests. "I am at peace. I know what I am leaving behind, and I am confident that no one will be able to challenge the integrity of my actions," he stated.
Spînu expressed that his choice to step down from his position and leave PAS is motivated by a desire for the public discourse to refocus on critical issues facing the Republic of Moldova, particularly justice, which he considers a top priority.
He remarked, "As long as fake topics dominate the public space, organized criminal groups, corruption, and those representing foreign interests will be allowed to pursue their agendas. We witnessed this in the recent elections."
