Romanian Embassy in Kyiv scales back its activity due to the security situation
Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced on Wednesday that the Embassy of Romania in Kyiv has reduced its activities due to ongoing security concerns.
"In light of the security developments in Ukraine, and in coordination with the diplomatic missions of other allied and EU member states, the Romanian Embassy in Kyiv has implemented additional measures to ensure the safety of its personnel. As a result, its activities are now limited to emergency actions," reads a press release of the ministry.
"The situation is being continuously monitored, and in consultation with the Ukrainian authorities, measures will be adjusted based on new developments", reads the document.
It is worth mentioning that the United States has temporarily closed its embassy in Kyiv after it received what it describes as "specific information regarding a potential significant airstrike."
