The declaration emphasizes key points discussed during the visit and reflects both councils' commitment to collaborating on improving the administration of justice.

A key point of the joint declaration focuses on strengthening the judicial status of judges in Moldova. Participants stressed the need to improve judicial salaries to attract and retain qualified professionals. Another key aspect is standardizing the workload of judges. The proposal includes developing a tool to measure judicial workload based on case complexity and increasing the number of support staff to assist judges.

Representatives of the councils also emphasized the importance of aligning Moldovan legislation with European standards and discussed Romania's support in this process, drawing on its expertise.

The events of January 24th, held during the Bucharest delegation's visit, coincided with a significant moment: the 166th anniversary of the Union of the Principalities. They began with the laying of flowers at the monument of Vespasian Erbiceanu, a prominent figure in the history of Bessarabian justice and the first president of the Chisinau Court of Appeal, who decreed Romanian as the official language in the courts.
