The energy crisis in the Republic of Moldova on the agenda of EU foreign ministers
The energy crisis in the Republic of Moldova will be addressed today, January 27, at the meeting of the EU Foreign Affairs Council taking place in Brussels, announces the diplomacy from Bucharest. During the meeting, the foreign ministers of EU member states will discuss the support provided to the Republic of Moldova in the context of current energy challenges. The topic is part of the agenda dedicated to current affairs, which also includes developments in Georgia.
The agenda of the Foreign Affairs Council also includes other important topics, such as Russia's aggressive war against Ukraine, the situation in the Middle East, and EU-U.S. relations. During the discussions, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha will intervene via videoconference to present the current situation in Ukraine.
Additionally, Romanian Foreign Minister Emil Hurezeanu is participating in the meeting and will advocate for supporting partners in the eastern neighborhood, including the Republic of Moldova, in the face of current challenges.
