According to IGSU, the column consisting of 12 technical units left the Operational Center and the area affected by the earthquake in Hatay. The urban search and rescue team of the Republic of Moldova is due to arrive home at the end of the week, estimated on February 18. During the implementation of the international mission, Moldovan rescuers managed to remove a three-year-old boy from the ruins alive and unharmed, after he had been in the ruins of a damaged building for more than four days. The Moldovan specialists also carried out evaluation works of the buildings and the recovery of the bodies, forming mixed groups with rescuers from Hungary, Mexico, the Netherlands and Turkey. The dedication and sacrifice made in search missions was appreciated by the Turkish authorities, announces IGSU, who thanked the Moldovan rescuers. We remind you that the USAR Moldova team started the international mission to help the Turkish people on February 6. Their activity was completely autonomous, using a specialized search module - urban rescue from under the rubble.
