Villages of Varnița and Copanca can receive electricity through the network on the right bank of the Nistru

The villages of Varnița and Copanca can use electricity delivered through the power grid on the right bank of the Nistru. The constructed power grids are fully functional. The conditions of their use are to be coordinated with the power grid operator serving the two villages and approved by the authorities. Residents of the villages share different opinions. While some say they do not want to connect to the new networks, others claim that they would like the two banks to join.
=When asked where they would like to receive electricity, the people of Varnița said that they were most interested in its price. “I would like it from the Transnistrian region, because it is cheaper”
“I don’t care where they deliver, it is important that we have it”
*“It is important that we have light and heat; it doesn’t matter wherefrom”.
However, some claim that by connecting to the electricity supply network on the right bank of the Nistru, the locality will completely renounce the propaganda of the Tiraspol authorities.
“Of course, I would like it from the Republic of Moldova. It would be very good if they gave us electricity from the Republic of Moldova. Are we Moldova or what, who are we? When I saw what they were doing in Copanca, I was shocked”;
"People are fed propaganda. Changes are needed, but let's not waste time; we already have nowhere to go", said residents of these villages.
"I would like it to be like Moldova used to be, without Transnistrian region, without anyone, let's be masters at home";
A medium-voltage power line of about 8 km was built in the direction of the village of Varnița, and a 10/6kV connection transformer was also installed. A section of about 1 km of 10 kV overhead power line was built in the direction of Copanca village.
We remind you that, in the midst of the energy crisis triggered in the Transnistrian region following the cessation of natural gas supplies by Gazprom, the Commission for Emergencies decided that the two localities be connected to the electricity network on the right bank of the Nistru, and 14 localities in the Security Zone be connected to the networks managed by Moldovagaz.
