On the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference, the President of the Republic of Moldova, Maia Sandu, had a meeting with the President of Lithuania, Gitanas Nausėda.
"I talked with President Nausėda about the security situation in the region and appreciated the dialogue between our countries in several sectors," the head of state said. At the same time, President Maia Sandu mentioned that there is good bilateral cooperation in the field of defense and internal affairs. She also appreciated the contribution of Lithuanians to strengthening the capacities of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration. "We thanked Mr. President Nausėda and the Lithuanian partners for the support provided in our process of joining the European Union," said the head of state. The President of the Republic of Moldova, Maia Sandu, will participate in the Munich Security Conference. The 59th meeting of the forum provides a platform for high-level discussions on the biggest challenges of foreign and security policy.
