Putin repeals the decree that guaranteed the resolution of the Transnistrian conflict with respect for the sovereignty of the Republic of Moldova

Today, February 21, the President of the Russian Federation repealed the Order of May 7, 2012, which directly targets the Republic of Moldova. Thus, the provision guaranteeing the territorial integrity of the Republic of Moldova in the context of the Transnistrian conflict settlement, became null.

One of the points of the ten-year-old decree stated that the Russian Federation "will seek a solution to the Transnistrian problem, based on respect for the sovereignty, territorial integrity and neutrality of the Republic of Moldova, by granting special status to the transnistrian region".

Contacted by Moldova 1 TV, the spokesperson of the Government stated that he will return with a reaction on this topic.
