MAI requests the traffic police to increase control measures on public roads
The Ministry of Internal Affairs (MAI) requested the national police to speed surveillance and control measures on public roads, in the context of the recent increase in the number of serious road accidents resulting in deaths and serious injuries of the people involved in the accidents. Also, MAI warns traffic participants that they no longer tolerate violations of road rules.
We remind that the Ministry of Internal Affairs has developed and submitted to the Parliament the draft law for the modification of some normative acts, which provide for the tightening of sanctions for the main causes of serious road accidents. These are: exceeding the speed limit, not giving priority to pedestrians and drunkdriving. Currently, the project is adopted in the first reading by the Parliament and is proposed for consideration in the second reading of the Parliament session.
