FCSB crisis: Referee row after home defeat

FCSB is struggling this season. After two defeats in the Champions League qualifiers, the "red-and-blues" suffered their first loss in the Romanian Superliga.
In the third round, Elias Charalambous's side lost 1-2 at home to Farul Constanța.
The București team started the match strongly, with David Miculescu opening the scoring in the 2nd minute, assisted by Octavian Popescu. Farul equalized after halftime through Ionuț Larie in the 59th minute from a penalty earned by Răzvan Tănasă.
Just 10 minutes later, home goalkeeper Ștefan Târnovanu was sent off for protesting. He first received a yellow card, followed immediately by a red. The "Sailors" delivered the decisive blow in added time through Alexandru Ișfan, following a counter-attack led by Ionuț Cojocaru. After the match, FCSB captain Florin Tănase didn't shy away from criticizing referee George Găman.
"Poor guy. He's lost his mind. He's become so sensitive lately, and especially in our match. My opinion is that Târnovanu didn't deserve to be sent off. I remember in other matches he'd just pretend not to hear," said Florin Tănase.
"A match with everything. With good things and bad. With refereeing mistakes and our own mistakes. We all make mistakes in the heat. We played the first two rounds at 6:30 PM, and it felt cooler," emphasized Farul defender Ionuț Larie.
In another third-round match, UTA Arad defeated Hermannstadt Sibiu 1-0 at home. The only goal of the match was scored by Alin Roman in the 40th minute.
