Revenue of the Customs Service to the state budget rose by almost 20% as compared to the same period last year
The Customs Service's collections to the state budget amounted to more than 726.9 million lei last week, and since the beginning of this year - about 5.8 billion lei. According to a statement issued by the institution, there was an 18.2% increase compared to the same period last year.
However, in the period from February 27 to March 5, 2023, goods whose customs value exceeds the non-taxable limit were brought into the Republic of Moldova, and payments worth more than 20.2 million lei were collected, which is 2.8% of the total amount collected for the period.
Also, during the past week, 11,516 customs declarations were completed and 65,872 crossings were made.
As regards the fight against fraud, during the period in question, 68 violations of customs legislation were detected and fines of over 277 thousand lei were imposed.
