Border Police: Over 9,600 Ukrainian citizens entered the Republic of Moldova within one day
The General Inspectorate of the Border Police announces that in the last 24 hours, at the border crossing points, the flow of people constituted 47,803 crossings, a larger number being recorded on the way out of the Republic of Moldova - 26,239 people crossing.
"With reference to the crossing of the border by the citizens of Ukraine, a total number of 9,654 crossings were recorded, of which 4,869 - on the way to enter the Republic of Moldova. Moreover, 1,356 were crossings of Ukrainian minors",reads the statement of the border authority. Border inspectors also announce that during the past week, 412 foreign citizens were refused entry to the territory of the Republic of Moldova. "283 records were triggered, of which five records on Interpol (persons, cars, documents) and 278 according to the information received from the national law enforcement authorities," announces the Border Police. In the border crossing points, between November 28 and December 4, the flow of people constituted 287,768 crossings. The border with Romania was the most frequently crossed - 52% of the total crossings, and 32% of border crossings were reported at crossing points located on the Moldovan-Ukrainian border and another 16% of air border crossings.
