New details in the criminal case regarding the illegal financing of the "Sor" Party: Millions of lei, seized following searches
Following the process of examining the money detected and collected during the searches carried out on March 9, in the criminal case regarding the illegal financing of the Political Party Şor, it was found that the final amount is 4,560,719 MDL.
The announcement was made by the Anticorruption Prosecutor's Office (PA), which states that the total amounts after examination are as follows: 3,269,500 lei; 64,490 euros and 500 dollars. PA informs that a decision is to be adopted in accordance with the provisions of the Code of Criminal Procedure, in order to ensure the preservation of the money raised by the authorized institution.
We remind you that also March 10, the law enforcement officers conducted searches in Chisinau and in the north of the Republic of Moldova in the case of mass disturbances. As a result, the police picked up money and a substance with a specific smell of marijuana, draft documents, but also communication and information storage devices.
According to the IGP, the people under investigation are men aged between 23 and 50, previously tried for fraud, drug trafficking and theft. Among the suspects, whose homes were searched, there are also people who recently returned to the Republic of Moldova from Turkey, where they participated in training for causing mass disorder and opposing resistance to law enforcement, the use of pyrotechnic articles and the use of weapons, during the protests to be organized.
