The teacher inspiring generations: Stepanida Prisăcari from Orhei

Stepanida Prisăcari has dedicated over 40 years to the field of education. She began her career as a primary school teacher and currently teaches Romanian language and literature at "Alecu Russo" Theoretical Lyceum in Orhei. Her professionalism and active involvement in community life have earned her appreciation from both colleagues and students.

Stepanida Prisăcari has wanted to become a teacher since she was a student. After graduating from the pedagogical college, she got a job as a primary school teacher.
"I started in a village in the Ungheni district, the village of Bumbata. When I entered the classroom, we, full of theory, as it was taught back then - scientific communism, political economy, philosophy, it seemed to me that I didn't know what to say to the first-grade children", the teacher says.
Along the way, Stepanida Prisăcaru discovered her true vocation - the Romanian language and literature. She managed to balance her work and studies, graduating from two additional faculties in the field of pedagogy.
"Do you think we don't get tired? We get tired sometimes, but the love for books, for students picks you up again and every failure makes you even stronger", Stepanida Prisăcaru mentions.
Students say that the teacher inspires them with love for the Romanian language and literature every day.
"Mrs. Stepanida is an exceptional teacher, I feel fortunate to have her as a Romanian language teacher. She conveys very complex things to us in a much simpler way".
With patience and dedication, Stepanida Prisăcaru raised generations of disciples who followed her path. Now, her former students are her colleagues and carry on her passion.
"I am particularly pleased to note that the lady is my former Romanian teacher and now we work together for new generations", says Ala Veveriță, a biology and chemistry teacher.
"She is a worthy role model for other teachers, for beginners, for young specialists", says Lilia Hacina, the director of the "Alecu Russo" Lyceum in Orhei.
