Moldova ranks 5th in the team competition at the European U23 Judo Championships
The Republic of Moldova team narrowly missed winning the bronze medal in the team competition at the European Judo Championships for youth "under 23," which took place at the Chisinau Arena. In the small final match, the team, coached by Valeriu Duminica, lost to the Turkish team with a score of 3-4.
In the first six games, Mihail Latîșev, Gabriela Herța, and Vlad Mitru emerged as winners, while Maria Rusu, Vadim Ghimbovschi, and Madina Duminică faced defeat. With the score tied at 3:3, the outcome was determined by an additional tiebreaker known as the "golden point." Unfortunately, Vadim Ghimbovschi lost to Ibrahim Tataroglu in this decisive match.
