Another deputy leaves the BCS fraction and joins the Movement for the People
The deputy Irina Lozovan is leaving the Bloc of Communists and Socialists (BCS), but also the Party of Socialists from the Republic of Moldova. The announcement was made at midnight on social media. She said that she joins the "Movement for the People", which also includes the Shor Party, but remains an independent deputy.
The reason cited by this is that "the PSRM cannot survive without a leader" and his colleagues "would have refused to join their efforts to go to the streets".
"Unfortunately, the PSRM cannot survive without a leader, we, previously the largest opposition force, have not been able to fight against this anti-national regime. Regrettably, the colleagues refused to gather their efforts to go out into the streets and fight for the people. (...) That's why, I decided to join the Movement for the People and become an independent deputy", wrote Irina Lozovan on Facebook.
Olga Cebotari, a member of the Executive Committee of the PSRM, reacted to Irina Lozovan's decision, noting that "lately we are witnessing an alarming trend in politics - financially stimulated party switching".
