Travel alert for Iran: Moldovan citizens advised to urgently leave this country

Citizens of the Republic of Moldova are urged to avoid traveling to the Islamic Republic of Iran or to leave the country immediately, in the context of increased security risks.

Moldovans currently in Iran are urged to inform the Embassy of the Republic of Moldova, residing in Baku, by phone or e-mail about their location, in the event of a need for evacuation.

Leaving Iran is possible by air, using regular flights, and by land via Turkey or Armenia.

In case of evacuation via Azerbaijan, it is necessary to obtain an authorization from the Azerbaijani authorities through the Moldovan mission in Baku.

According to the information available to the Embassy of the Republic of Moldova in the Republic of Azerbaijan, there are currently no citizens of the Republic of Moldova on the territory of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and so far no requests for support for evacuation have been registered.
