Maia Sandu, meeting with diaspora from the USA: "We discussed the situation at home, our efforts to preserve peace and advance on the path of European integration"
On a visit to Washington (USA), the president of the Republic of Moldova met with the diaspora from the USA.
"We discussed the situation at home, our efforts to keep the peace and advance on the path of European integration, but also about the excellent cooperation with the USA," wrote Maia Sandu on her Facebook page.
The compatriots settled in the USA, according to the president, can contribute to the development of the Republic of Moldova through investments and suggestions for improving the business climate.
"We also talked about how Moldovans settled in the US can contribute to the development of our country. I told them that we would be happy if they invested more in the Republic of Moldova and noted their suggestions for improving the business environment. I encouraged them to continue promoting Moldova as a tourist and business destination. As always, we told them that we are waiting for them at home," said Maia Sandu.
The President of the Republic of Moldova, Maia Sandu, undertakes a visit to the USA. In Washington, Maia Sandu will participate in the International Anti-Corruption Conference, within the Summit for Democracy.
In the morning, the president of the Republic of Moldova had several meetings with the IMF, the US Congress and USAID.
