"During the discussions, we reiterated the commitment of the Republic of Moldova to advance on the path of reforms and, in this context, the importance of cooperation on the parliamentary dimension between our countries. Lithuania's legislative experience can help us especially now that Moldova has obtained the status of an EU candidate country and we are in the process of adjusting our national legislation to the European one". The two officials also referred to security developments in the region and the challenges our country has to face this year.

Igor Grosu is on a working visit to Lithuania until 5 April. The President of the Parliament will meet several Lithuanian officials.
