Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, Deputy Prime Minister Nicu Popescu holds a press conference during which he will discuss Moldova's contributions to the EU Enlargement Report for 2023, as well as the status of implementation of the 9 recommendations of the European Commission, the latest developments regarding sanctions and the EU civilian mission deployed in our country.
On 21-22 April, Nicu Popescu was on a working visit to Brussels, the capital of the Kingdom of Belgium. There, the official handed over to the Director General of the EU's Directorate General for Neighbourhood and Enlargement Negotiations, Gert-Jan Koopman, the Republic of Moldova's contributions to the EU Enlargement Report for 2023.
The report on the Republic of Moldova's contributions to the EU Enlargement Report comprises some 1,000 pages describing progress and reforms over the past year.
The basic objectives in relation to our country's accession to the EU were outlined by President Maia Sandu in the National Commission for European Integration, and the Republic of Moldova's contribution was approved last week by the Government Commission for European Integration.
