Moldovan *Hora* dance celebrated in Italy; mural unveiled at Borgo Universo museum

Moldovan tradition has come to life in a mural dedicated to the hora (Moldovan dance), unveiled at Borgo Universo—an open-air museum located in the medieval village of Aielli, in Italy's Abruzzo region.
The mural, painted by artist Radu Dumbrava, depicts people standing in a circle as equals and speaks to community, closeness, and the joy of togetherness; these values perfectly embody the project's spirit.
"Through this initiative, together with artist Radu Dumbrava and the project partners, we aimed to bring a taste of the Republic of Moldova’s culture, traditions, and hospitality to Aielli, while also contributing to the extraordinary Borgo Universo project, which has transformed this small town in Abruzzo into a space for art and intercultural dialogue", stated representatives of the Embassy of the Republic of Moldova in Italy.

The town of Aielli is currently home to over 60 artworks—ranging from murals and sculptures to modern installations—created by artists of national and international renown.
The event featured Moldovan cuisine, with traditional dishes prepared by Le Tartufaie restaurant, creating a true meeting of Moldovan and Italian cultures.
