Constitutional Court again postponed the examination of the legality of the activity of the "Sor" Party
The examination of the legality of the activity of the "ŞOR" Party was postponed for the third consecutive day. The magistrates of the Constitutional Court are to meet in a new session on Monday, starting at 10:00, to examine the Government's request regarding the outlawing of the "Sor" Party.
In particular, on Monday, CC magistrates are going to comment on the approach submitted by the lawyers of the "Sor" Party, regarding the viewing during the High Court session of some images from protests and other gatherings, which the defenders claim are "video evidence".
We mention that, today, during the meeting of the CC, in front of the Constitutional Court there was a protest by the members and sympathizers of the "Sor" Political Party.
We remind you that last November the Government demanded the outlawing of the "Sor" Party, which it accuses of acting in contradiction to the principles of the rule of law and endangering the sovereignty and independence of the Republic of Moldova, being financed and supported from outside by the Russian secret services.
The leader of the formation, the fugitive recently sentenced to 15 years in the bank fraud case, Ilan Şor, qualifies the Government's approach as political.
