Border Police have banned entry into the Republic of Moldova for 39 individuals

The General Inspectorate of Border Police announces that it has prohibited the entry into the Republic of Moldova for 39 individuals on May 20. In total, at the border crossing points, the flow of individuals amounted to 55,303 crossings, with a higher number recorded in the outbound direction from the Republic of Moldova - 28,925 crossings.

"Regarding the crossing of the border by Ukrainian citizens, a total of 13,203 crossings were recorded, of which 6,708 were in the inbound direction to Moldova. Additionally, 2,126 crossings were made by Ukrainian minors," stated the Border Police press release.

The most frequented border crossing points were at the Romania-Moldova border, with 29,732 crossings, while 17,890 crossings were reported at the Moldova-Ukraine border, and another 7,681 crossings occurred at the air border.

Border inspectors recommend that travellers, before embarking on their journey, consult the Green Line of the Border Police (022 259 717) or check the situation at the crossing points online (http://border.gov.md/camere-web).

The Border Police also reported that during Saturday, May 20, there was one case of illegal border crossing, 23 violations of the vignette usage and vehicle operation rules, as well as two individuals and one vehicle identified with national warrants.
