President Volodimir Zelenski returns home from the G7 summit in Hiroshima, where the world's richest nations pledged firm support for Ukraine, reports the BBC.
The Kiev leader has secured new pledges of more military support. The president's visit dominated the summit, with US President Joe Biden and other leaders again calling on Moscow to end its invasion of Ukraine. The G7 leaders also pledged continued support for Ukraine.
US President Joe Biden announced a new $375 million military aid package for Ukraine at the G7 meeting on Sunday and told President Volodimir Zelenski that the United States is doing everything possible to strengthen Ukraine's defences in the war with the Russian Federation.
At a meeting with the Ukrainian leader on the sidelines of the G7 summit of world leaders in Hiroshima, Japan, Joe Biden said the military aid package includes ammunition, artillery, armored vehicles and training.
