EU General Affairs Council adopts list of first persons sanctioned for destabilising activities in Moldova

The EU General Affairs Council adopted on 30 May the list of the first persons sanctioned under the EU's new sanctions regime for countering destabilising actions against the Republic of Moldova, announces the Romanian Foreign Ministry. Minister Bogdan Aurescu welcomed the decision.

EU increases financial assistance to Moldova by €145 million

The European Council decided today to double the amount of macro-financial assistance to the Republic of Moldova that had been agreed a year ago. In April 2022, legislation was adopted allowing the EU to financially assist the Republic of Moldova with €150 million. This amount was increased today by €145 million, which means that an amount of €295 million will be available for our country.
