The law enforcement forces of the Republic of Moldova ensure the European Political Community Summit at the highest level of security. The statement was made for Radio Moldova by the head of the General Police Inspectorate (IGP), Viorel Cernăuțeanu.
According to him, all participants of the summit are required to pass a security check before reaching the event.
"Everything is going to be fine today. Thus, we will all enjoy this pleasant event from the Republic of Moldova, which will bring a positive image. The police will be at the highest level and will ensure the safety of all citizens. It is a security procedure ensured not only by the police, but by all colleagues who are involved in this process. We realize the high level of security when the delegations come here", Viorel Cernăuțeanu pointed out.
The authorities responsible for organizing the Summit have announced that during these days it will be more difficult to travel in Chisinau, but also on the route to Bulboaca. For security reasons, several streets in the center of Chisinau have already been closed. Also, the circulation of public transport in the city, but also in the localities in the suburbs, is organized under a special regime until June 2. The changes were made in the context of the European Political Community Summit and, respectively, for the travel of official delegations.
