Nicu Popescu pays official visits to France and Malta: EU accession process, on the agenda
The promotion of the accession process of the Republic of Moldova to the European Union, as well as the initiation of accession negotiations in the shortest possible time, are the topics that will be addressed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, Nicu Popescu, who is visiting Paris, France and Valletta, Malta.
In the French capital, on June 13-14, the minister will have meetings with his counterpart, Catherine Colonna, with the president of the European Affairs Commission, Jean-Francois Rapin, the Prime Minister's advisor for Europe, the Secretary General for European Affairs, Emmanuel Puisais-Jauvin , as well as with other French officials and heads of international organizations.
"At the end of Tuesday, at the headquarters of the Embassy of the Republic of Moldova in Paris, I will also meet with our diaspora from France. I will end the visit from Paris with a speech at a conference dedicated to Moldovan-French relations, in the presence of the president of the National Assembly of France, Yaël Braun-Pivet", mentions Nicu Popescu.
Also on 15 June, the Foreign Minister will make his first official visit to Malta, where he will hold meetings with the Minister for Foreign, European Affairs and Trade, Ian Borg, as well as several officials from the Government and Parliament of Malta.
