The man who threw his little girl from the fourth floor last summer was sentenced
The 29-year-old man originally from Lebanon, who threw his newborn child out of the window of his 4th floor apartment, was sentenced today. He was found guilty of "murder of a minor family member with extreme cruelty" and will spend 17 years and 6 months in prison in a closed penitentiary.
Also, the court ordered his expulsion after serving the sentence.
According to the General Prosecutor's Office, on July 4, 2022, around 8:49 p.m., the man was with his little girl of a few months in the kitchen of the apartment on the fourth floor, located in a block in the Buiucani sector of Chisinau.
For reasons not established by the criminal investigation body, the individual threw the child through the window. Due to the injuries, the girl died on the spot. The prosecution also mentions that the defendant did not plead guilty.
