Jens Stoltenberg: "NATO is looking for ways to help Moldova reform its defence and security institutions"
The North Atlantic Alliance is looking for ways to help the Republic of Moldova enhance its security and defence capabilities. The statement was made Wednesday by NATO Deputy Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg at a press conference.
"I am glad that NATO will be able to help Moldova secure its airspace. Moldova is a NATO partner and we have decided that we will have to enhance our partnership. NATO is looking at ways to help Moldova reform its defence and security institutions to be able to protect its airspace and we will discuss further what support NATO can give to Moldova," said Jens Stoltenberg.
The head of the Alliance also noted that NATO was able to secure the airspace of the Republic of Moldova when the second European Political Community Summit took place.
