Moldelectrica: High risk of electricity disconnection, as a result of the bombings in Ukraine
In the electric energy system of the Republic of Moldova, disturbances are again registered, as a result of the air attacks on Ukraine, announced Moldelectrica.
According to the company, for now "there are no disconnected consumers, but the risk of disconnections is high". Moldelectrica says it will come back with new information. On Friday morning, air raid alerts were issued for several regions of Ukraine, including Kyiv, Zhytomyr, Chernigov, Nikolaev and Kirovograd, international media reports. The explosions rang out in Kharkiv, Poltava and in the Vinita region on the border with the Republic of Moldova. We remind you that our country has repeatedly faced blackouts caused by the attacks of Russian troops on the energy system in Ukraine. The most massive disturbance occurred on November 15, when for two hours a large part of the territory of the Republic of Moldova, including the capital and the municipality of Balti, remained in darkness. Power outages, not so large, also occurred on November 23 and December 5.
