"We have a 2.5 times increase in the number of respiratory infections. The respiratory infections this year are very, very aggressive, with complications, in most cases. When we talk about children, they require hospitalization. Children aged 0-4 are most often affected and this is indeed an effect of the pandemic. We still have free beds, but we are at the limit", says the Minister of Health, Ala Nemerenco. Moreover, say the health authorities, very few cases of flu are now registered.
