Sergiu Gurău, an entrepreneur featured in Moldova 1's "The Country is Us" project
Sergiu Gurău is a social entrepreneur in Moldova. He has been working in this field for over 10 years. He founded the first social catering enterprise in Moldova, which currently provides daily hot lunches for 150 elderly people in the villages of Răzeni and Cigirleni.
Since the first days of the war in Ukraine, Gurău has provided hot lunches to Ukrainian refugees in Moldova through his enterprise.
The entrepreneur has also launched a work-based training program for young people with disabilities, providing them with opportunities to enter the labour market.
"I am glad that, through my experience and the experience of my team of 40 people, we have been able to contribute to the development of social entrepreneurship in Moldova. In this regard, the relevant legislative framework was adopted for the first time in our country," Gurău said.
Moldova 1 is presenting the project "The Country is Us", dedicated to the Independence Day of the Republic of Moldova. 15 protagonists from various fields of activity talk about their lives and the values they promote.
