Moldovan President discusses EU accession with Dutch king
Moldovan President Maia Sandu met with King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands in The Hague where she discussed bilateral relations, Moldova's European Union accession process, and Dutch support for Moldova in a number of areas.
"I discussed with King Willem-Alexander the deepening of economic relations and the growth of trade," Sandu said. "We are interested in cooperation in the agricultural sector. We also discussed with His Majesty the security risks in our region and the actions we are taking to increase the country's resilience. The European Union is a project of peace and democracy, and that is why we want to be part of it."
