Maia Sandu: "Each of us can do a small miracle for the other. Merry Christmas!"

The head of state, Maia Sandu, sent a congratulatory message to the citizens on the occasion of new style Christmas. The president noted that the spirit of this holiday is marked by caring for our neighbor. Maia Sandu also sent a message of gratitude to the Moldovans for their solidarity with the Ukrainian refugees.

"I know we will have fewer lights on this year's tree, but we will definitely be and stay on the side of light. On the bright side of the world. Not opulence, not indulgence, not waste marks the spirit of this celebration, but care (...). When we talk about the Christian spirit, we are talking about exactly what you did, dear Moldovans, this year - you opened the doors of your homes, without waiting for reward and promotion, and shared the bread with our Ukrainian neighbors. You were and are kind hearted. I am proud and grateful to you. A whole world has seen how generous you are. I wish you beautiful holidays with your loved ones! Peace in the soul, peace in the homes, peace on earth! Merry Christmas!", reads the president's message. Today, December 25, Christians celebrate the new style Christmas.
